Needle-free acupuncture for babies and children

Japanese Shonishin Paediatric Acupuncture is growing in popularity in the UK. Originally developed in Japan in the 1600's and kept a closely guarded secret for centuries, the techniques have now been taught and disseminated to the US and Europe as well as the UK.

Japanese acupuncture shares many of the core principles and theories underlying Chinese Medicine, but the main difference is the lightness of touch. Tapping and stroking techniques are generally used rather than needles. In children this is particularly welcome as they can enjoy a gentle, safe, non-threatening treatment to help them feel better.
